How you can Know that you are SAVED

Knowing that you are saved by Jesus, and there is a way of knowing~ You just have to compare yourself to the scriptures~ Because did you know that there will be a lot of people who stand before God thinking they are saved and he will say:

Matthew 7:21, Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.

Matthew 7:22, Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?

Matthew 7:23, And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.

Many will say Lord, Lord~ I have done this in your name and that in your name… and Jesus will say, depart from me, you worker of sin.

See ~ Lots of people think, I have done this or I have done that~ Take me for example~ Standing before Jesus on the day of Judgment and Jesus asks me, “Donna, Why do you think you should get into Heaven?” and if I were to say, “Jesus, because I went and told people about you and because I went to Church and I taught Sunday School. I have done so much in your name.” Do you think that will get me brownie points and get me into the doors of Heaven?

NO SIR!!!~ It will not. Because I was relaying on things I have done and not what Jesus has done for me, He Lived a perfect sinless life and taking my sins upon himself. Knowing I am a sinner and turning from those sins and turning towards him.

Romans 3:10, As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one:

No one is good enough to get into heaven. Only Jesus was and it is thru Him that we are allowed to spend eternity with Him. If we take that gift of Love He has given us.

Romans 10:13, For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.

For whosoever, that means anyone and everyone who calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved. Now how do you know if you are saved? Well, I’m glad you asked. Jesus tells us in the scriptures that you will become a new creature.

II Corinthians 5:17, Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.

There will be a change in you and one way to tell if there is a change is this one question.

Do you hate the sin you once Loved? Do you seek after your sinful ways more than Jesus Christ? Now~ I’m not saying that we never sin. You and I both know that we are sinners and always will be but when we sin as a saved person, it eats at us…. You feel the holy spirit inside you telling you that it is wrong.

1 John 1:4-10, And these things write we unto you, that your joy may be full. This then is the message which we have heard of him, and declare unto you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all. If we say that we have fellowship with him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth: But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin. If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. If we say that we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us.

As you read here you can see that it tells us that if we continue to sin and stay in sin, that we are not of God and we are of darkness. ( where I get freaked out) Too many times people will run down to an alter and “ask Jesus to come into their Heart.” but go right out and run back into that life of sin and they think they have fire insurance. Do I think these people are really saved? Honestly, No~ I do not when I read scripture. But if we are saved by Christ and when we do sin ( which we all do even after we are saved) It tells us here in scripture that Jesus is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from ALL UNRUGHTEOUSNESS. Now, is this the ticket to continue in sin? No, of course not. But I do believe that a true saved, holy spirit filled person will feel conviction when they sin and will want to turn from that sin.

Now can a person ever fall away from being saved by God? No! Lets look at the scripture~

John 10:27, My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me:

John 10:28, And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man PLUCK them out of my hand.

John 10:29, My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and no man is able to PLUCK them out of my Father's hand.

It tells me here I will know his Voice, and He gave me eternal life ( Not might or will or could have But GAVE ME LIFE~ how cool is that with a play of words?) and that No Man is greater than God and no man will pluck me out of my father’s hand.

HOW COOL IS THAT?

Know that you are SAVED
